Ingredients
  • 150 g (~5 ounces) of grated Comté cheese
  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • 200 g ( 7 ounces) of button mushrooms
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 10 cl (10 ml) of cream
  • A few flat sprigs of parsley
  • 1 Tbs Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400˚F.
  2. Cut the mushrooms into quarters or halves, depending on their size.
  3. Pour 1 Tbs of oil into a frying pan and fry the mushrooms over high heat until golden brown. Then set aside.
  4. Roughly chop the parsley.
  5. Sauté the onion in the left over mushroom oil.
  6. Mix everything together and place mixture on each slice of bread.
  7. Pour 10 cl of cream, the egg and the Comté cheese into a bowl.
  8. Mix and spread over the mushrooms on the slices.
  9. Season the slices and bake in the oven for 5-6 minutes. Serve hot.
